Cashback Policy

1. Purpose

This Cashback Policy explains how customers will earn, get credited, redeem, and lose cashback. 

2. Definitions

  • Cashback: A benefit given to customers, usually as a percentage of eligible purchases, in the form of credits, rewards, or monetary value used toward future purchases.
    Eligible Purchase: A purchase that qualifies under the rules for earning cashback (not all products/services may qualify).
    Cartlow Credit: Amount of cashback accrued in the customer’s Cartlow account, which can be redeemed per the policy.
    Redemption: Using the cashback credit toward future purchases or through available channels.

  • Expiry Date: The last date by which cashback credits must be used, after which they will lapse.

  • Fraudulent or Abusive Activity: Any attempt to exploit, misuse or manipulate the cashback program to gain an unfair benefit.

3. Eligibility

  • General terms and conditions apply on each promotion. 

  • If using a cashback or rewards credit card program, the card/account must be in good standing.

4. Earning Cashback

  • Timing: Cashback is computed after the order is delivered with no return (or transaction settled).

  • Pending Period: Cashback may be subject to a delay, for example, but not limited to, being credited only after the expiry of the applicable return period for the order.

  • Caps: There may be maximum amounts per transaction, per month, or per campaign period.

5. Crediting Cashback

  • Cashback credits are credited to the customer’s account (Cartlow Credit) once eligibility criteria are me, and cannot be withdrawn.

  • The timeframe for crediting (e.g. “within 7-10 days after delivery”) will be indicated.
    The company reserves the right to withhold or cancel cashback credits in case of fraudulent activity or where returns/refunds occur.

6. Redemption / Use of Cashback

  • Cashback can be used toward future purchases on our platform only.

  • Cashback cannot usually be transferred to bank accounts or converted to cash unless explicitly allowed.

  • May not be combined with some offers, coupons, or other promotions, based on terms.

  • Redemption process: how to apply credit at checkout, or use via card statement, etc.

7. Expiry

  • Cashback credits expire after a certain period (e.g. 2 months) from the date they are credited.

  • Expired cashback credits shall no longer be redeemable, and the customer shall have no right to claim them after the expiry date.

  • Expiry dates will be clearly visible (e.g. in “My Account → Cashback / Credits” section).

8. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

  • If an item is returned or an order is cancelled, cashback earned on that order may be reversed or deducted from the customer’s credit balance.

  • If the order is partly delivered or partially cancelled, cashback may be adjusted pro rata.

9. Fraud & Abuse

  • The company retains the right to investigate any suspicious activity.

  • If fraud or abuse is detected, cashback credits may be cancelled, accounts suspended, or other actions taken.

  • Customers engaging in abuse may lose eligibility for future cashback.

10. Changes to the Cashback Policy

  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate the cashback program (or part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

  • Any such changes will be communicated via our website, app, or via email insofar as reasonably practicable.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not responsible for delays in crediting caused by third-party payment/card processors.

  • Cashback value is not redeemable for cash unless specifically stated.

  • We are not liable for lost or expired cashback due to negligence or failure by the customer to use it.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • This policy will be governed by the laws of [Department of Economic Development].

Disputes regarding cashback must be raised within [40] days of the crediting or expected crediting date.
